Braintree Hockey Club is one of only 10% of clubs nationally who own their own facilities. The pitch is good enough to take high quality hockey to National Premier competition and higher level of player pathways, academy centres upwards. However, we are keen to improve the clubhouse, changing room and surrounding area in the not too distant future.

The club has a history of achieving successful outcomes with limited resources, achieving grant aid for the original astro pitch, and subsequently maintaining the pitch well past its anticipated life.

However, we managed to achieve a successful outcome. Although again we have limited funds with regards to financing this proposal, the club’s ambition is to achieve facilities that are a credit to the area and can be enjoyed across a number of sports.
